History:

Sunny was a gift to Ares from his parents on his 12th birthday, making her the first horse he ever owned. He was also allowed to officially change/choose her show and barn names to make it feel like she was truly his. He named her 'Sunshine on Snow' since she was "pretty like the sun" and looked like she had snow on her back. His mother, a renowned dressage rider, tried pressuring Ares into doing dressage with Sunny but he refused and she compromised with letting him do Cross Country like his father did. They did XC competitions together until Ares moved away to University at 19. Although Sunny's documents were in his parents' name, he still took her with him when he moved.

When Ares moved to University and was away from his mother's overbearing pressure, he decided he would spend more time just building a bond with Sunny instead of making her compete all the time. During this era, he discovered liberty, which he trained her in as a bonding exercise, but she showed to love it so they do bits daily. He also did a lot of research into how to make Sunny's life the best he could and found he had a passion for western. He decided to take her out of work, just doing liberty for a while before retraining her as a western horse. They learnt to do reining and won a few competitions together.

After his parents' car crash, Ares and Sunny moved back to Mountain Dale and Sunny was ecstatic to see Thunder again, since they used to live next-door in the stables. They're now never turned out without eachother.

Personality:

Sunny has a very gentle personality, and is very loyal. She loves Ares to death and will follow him around like a puppy and would do anything he ever asked of her. This mare would jump through fire for her owner.

She gets along decently well with other horses, but has a bit of a vendetta against stallions as she tends to find them too in her face, but if they're nice and calm like Thunder, she'll tolerate them.
