After the first days with our rescue Sokrates, our Vet came to check on his general well-beinf. She did some blood tests and made sure that his legs and his back were okay. At first he was super nervous, but then calmed quickly.
We showed the Vet his movement and gait, trotting on hand and lunging on each hand, to check for irregularities and possible pain symptoms. He endured everything so brave and got lots of treats. We were very glad to hear his gait looks perfectly fine, and his hooves don't seem to cause him a lot of pain while walking.
To make sure that the pawing couldn't stem from internal pain, we made sure to X-ray his legs and thoroughly check his back and teeth. And after the whole procedure, we are very relieved to say that everything looks perfect and our Vet was very happy with our well-behaved little guy!
