[PHASE 1 - Welcome Home]
Log entery - Transport of our new boy.
The journey from his previous home to our stables was anything but uneventful for our new boy. From the moment he was led onto the trailer, it became clear that he was no fan of unfamiliar objects and sounds. Though he walked in without much resistance, the moment the wind picked up and a loose tarp flapped nearby, he froze, eyes wide, nostrils flaring. We had to pause for a while, speaking to him gently, until he calmed enough to step in fully. Once inside, his mouthy habits kicked in almost immediately after taking off. He tried chewing on the halter rope, the lead bar, and even the plastic window covering, nibbling at anything within reach. We had prepared a hay net and some treats to help keep him occupied, which seemed to ease his nerves, though not entirely. Every sudden gust of wind or unexpected noise made him shift his weight anxiously, ears flicking in all directions. By the time we arrived, he was visibly tense but unharmed. Despite the stress, he unloaded calmly and looked around with guarded curiosity and a bit of fear. It was clear this boy had potential. He just needed time, patience, and a stable world without flapping shadows.
