Orienteering Run
It weren't their first time on the trail, but it sure were their first time doing it for a Breed Showcase. When Bit had hauled Flurry across national borders she had to arrive early to be on time, Holiday season and all. The trail was good, she'd always love a good trail with her reliable nag.
Said nag was carefully waltzing her way through the snow, her greyish fringe blowing back in the breeze. With every step her tan saddle shifted side to side. She was focused on making sure they dint fall behind the guide, ears flicking back every so often to listen to one of Bit's quiet cues.
Bit could just see the guide ahead on Langston cresting the hill and pausing to wait. The chestnut horse dancing 'neath his rider as Bit came closer with Flurry.
The guide gestured downhill vaguely, "careful now to pay attention on where your horse is walking, we're just looping back to the start and it gets real steep here."
Bit nodded squeezing her tabby nag's sides urging her to follow Langston and his rider down the hill, passing by leafless trees. The saddle creaked as she leaned back, gently grabbing the horn with her left hand.
Flurry was eager to get down, nostrils flaring and reaching her head forward. Her hooves slid in the thick snow catching traction every centimeter. Her tail lifted just slightly and she hopped the last 2 feet.
Bit snorted rubbing Flurry's fuzzy neck as she sat forward once more and stopped to watch the de-scaling of the other two behind.
