[Gift] Drawlloween [Short story 5] - Slimy Sludge

Charles, Bob the rubber ducky, and I followed the water-filled tunnel.

It's hard to walk for such a long time in this knee-high muddy water, but we see something bright at the end of the way and hope to escape this hell somehow.

Without noticing, the force of the water has been pushing us more and more forward- out of instinct, I try to lean against it, but as I look over, I see Charles floating away like a dang unbothered whale. So I, of course, go after him and try to grab him- but it's too late; the force of the water pushes us through the pipe and finally spits us out at the end.

We fall for a moment and land somewhere outside...SPLASH! I shake and try to see; it's some sort of pond...and it stinks. Worried, I look around and spot Charles ass sticking out of whatever we're sitting in.

I get up and pull on his tail, but everything is so slippery that I can barely stand nor grab him. With a lot of force, I get him out and when finally his head pops up, he looks like a huge slimy booger. He looks at me; looks around; looks at himself and then starts smacking the sludge around him with his hooves. "This feels nice! :D" "....you almost just drowned -.-"

I crawl out of the pond and feel disgusting. "At least we're out of there" I say and realize that the sun is rising already. With a lot of shaking and rubbing on trees, I get off most of the sludge, while Charles is still in there.

"Come on!" I shout.

"I can't find him" he whines with big sad eyes.

"Who?"

"Bob!!!!"

"For fucks sake" I mutter to myself and walk closer to him again. I will certainly not go back in there, that's for sure.
