[Gift] Drawlloween [Short story 4] - Secret Tunnel

We've been stuck together in this pantry for a while already and my bones start aching. "OH, what's that?" Charles suddenly asks "Don't touch it, whatever it is -don't touch it. ESPECIALLY if it's part of my body." "...but it seems suspicious." "Charles...I told you multiple times already....its just a normal birthmark! The doc checked it even!"

And then, suddenly the floor folds down and we slide down a long pipe. I scream; Charles laughs gleefully- till we slam onto the rock-hard floor. Well- I did. Charles landed on something soft; which is me.

"What the hell?!?!" "AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN" "NO!" ":<"

We get up and I scan the surroundings; it's a tunnel of some sort. It feels moist and the echoing of our voices are scary. "There must be an exit." I say with the last bit of hope in me.

We follow the only way we have in front of us, but the further we go, the higher the water on the floor rises. It stinks and I'm so incredibly uncomfortable in this dark water. Meanwhile, behind me I hear constant splashing. Charles tripped and fell six....*splashing noises...no- seven times already and he insisted on letting his duck float, but then he lost it and we had to walk back quite a bit.

Now the way splits in two and I have no clue what to do. "We definitely won't split up. In movies that's always how one dies, so we're not doing that...." "let bob decide :3" "...wha? No! I'm not letting a rubber ducky decide over our lives!" "Do you know how to decide?" "...well....no...but- arg -.- okey whatever, do it."

And so Charles gently places Bob the duck into the water and we both stare at it. "...this is stu-" "Shhh!" Bob starts moving and floats straight into one of the tunnels.

We both follow and after a while we see a light. Is that the end?
