Drawloween - Secret Tunnel

What was a nice guy like Marrow doing in a place like this? As he wound deeper into the tunnel, he couldn't help but dwell on that. Hey, speaking of that, why had a tunnel opened up? There was really no explaining what went on during Halloween, okay? No explaining it, no questioning it. Simply winding deeper on his exploration, and trying to figure out exactly who waited for him on the other end. While any critical thinking skills at all would have led him in a more productive direction, the dense black stallion wasn't known for his genre awareness. Oops.

Right, he's not the only one who knows this tunnel is here. A secret, but a secret discovered by more than one of the resident ponies. A sharp scent, described only as distilled rage and a bad attitude, greeted the long-tailed stallion. The sound that came with it echoed off the damp tunnel walls, filled the small space. Ah, something rising straight from hell. Marrow could feel it, though his pace ground to a halt. Shining black eyes going wide, his gaze falls on her-- yikes. While Piri always looked rough, this was perhaps worse than usual.

Exhaling sharply, Piri is still for only a moment. Her presence fills the tunnel, seemingly larger than life despite being crammed into this strange, small space. Really, it's the rage more than the slight shoulders and spice coat. She's all spice, particularly today. Without warning, she takes off down the tunnel. Charging directly at Marrow, leading with her teeth. They flash and shine in the low light, filtering from the far off moon at the edges of the tunnel's depths. It wasn't like it would be secret for much longer, given the sheer amount of noise she generated.

Marrow shies as Piri charges. Moving so a hip is anchored against the wall, ducking his head, trying to stay out of her way. There's nothing more he can really do, right? All thundering hooves and nasty disposition, the mare reaches out and rakes her teeth across his shoulder as she passes. Though Marrow has half a mind to fight back, getting entangled in some petty fight here would spell their doom. The ceiling too short, the walls too close-- no. Taking the high road was for the greater good, this time around.
