5) Strange Shrooms

Strange Shrooms
"I still do not think that that is a good idea what we are doing!" exclaimed Namir, walking at the very end of the group. After the ghosts weird apperance, we had decided to indeed follow their guidance, as barely anyone from us was very excited to go back into that creepy forest. So we started slowly walking over the first field, which looked pretty normal. The ground wasnt frozen anymore, and the greens looked perfectly normal. Everything seemed normal, that seemed to calm Müsli down a lot. In the far, i was able to make out some glowing lights on the next coming field, but i didn't yet thought about it too much, and the others didn't seemed to have noticed the glow yet. Khaos was very tense, and knowing this is definitly not over yet, he was scanning the surrioudings the whole time with his ears. Arctic seemed to be quite confident in what way we were going, and he was leading us towards that direction, the weird chestnut ghost had pointed to. Astoria on the other hand, together with Namir, did not looked sure about this expedition in any way. She would have preferred to go back through the forest, but I think she realisticly knows that that wouldn't have been a good Idea. "What are those glowing lights..?" Asked Müsli suddently. I sigh, and Khaos semmed to have as well as me hoped that the others would realize that something was off yet again later. "I don't know" said he quietly, while Arctic and Namir trotted over to the first source of the light.. it was a mushroom. "Do mushrooms always glow where you guys live?" Namir asked with a bit of a sarcastic undertone. I just shake my head, and Astoria answered audibly with "No." "Be careful guys," said Khaos warningly, and I swished my tail watching over Namir and Arctic inspecting the glowing mushrooms. "They smell really weird. I don't think it's good if we are near them." Said Namir, with fear lingering in his voice. "Oh but I think they look quite funky! I like them" exclaimed Müsli, trotting over to a little group of them. "All stay together, stay close, and follow my." I said calmly, trying not to show how much I was worrying. Glowing Shrooms with a weird smell?! That definilty was not a good sign, I was quite sure of that. "Those ghosts were behaving so.. weirdly. The black headed one was nearly in a maniac-like-state... do you think that could have been induced by those shrooms?" Astoria asked Khaos and me quietly. Arctic looked around to us and nodded, answering "I mean... that would most definitly explain their weird behavior,," I had to agree, but choose not to answer. "But we didn't saw where they really came from, did we?" Asked Namir, sounding as unsure as the whole time already. "We did not see them the whole time, no, but as soon as we saw them, they came from this direction!" added Müsli. "They smell so weird..." mumbles Khaos, looking a bit... dozig. I looked at my friend, then at the others, and noticed that my vision wne t slightly blurry. "Guys, follow me!" yelled Astoria from the front, starting to canter, and then to run through the strange field, while our vision started to get warped and blurry. I tried clearing my mind, ushering the others to run just as fast as she does by swishing my tails ant their back legs and trying to snap at their butts. This was not good at all. I saw Arctics tail in front of me, his long tail swishing up and down, turning the dirt under his hooves into colorful rainbows and funky looking shapes. Astoria was just a blurred whirlwind right at the edge of my vision, leaving behing a red flowery trail right there, where she stepped into the field. Müsli seemed to be enjoying himself, calling something that my brain couldn't even process anymore. I myself suddently saw a glow in the dark skeleton horse storm past me, slightly wondering why I'm seeing myself... without myself. Namir on the other hand was a blue flickering lightbowl, flying next to us over the field, which was now full of glowing bubbles, flying around us up into the sky. I catch my breath, my lungs were full of that weird scent from the strange shrooms. Suddently Khaos appeared next to me again, I had fully forgotten that he existed, who tried to yell something to me, but the thick rainbow bubbles flying between us were making it impossible to undertsand what he was trying to say. Suddently Astoria seemed to slow down, and it was way too quick for me to process properly, resulting in me fully running into her side, which leads us both, and Khaos who was right next to me, to stumble and fall into the ground. I catch my breath, looking around at Müsli, Namir and Arctic staring at us other three, laying there, just a few meters away from the field covered in glowing shrooms. I shake my head and get up from the dirt, next to me Khaos is doing the same thing. Astoria stared at us and asked the question we all had in our mind at this exact moment. "What on earth was that..?" We all look at each other, the rainbow bubbles, flickering light and strong shroom-scent slowly fades away, leaving us with hurting heads and blurry vision, and most importantly, insanely confused.
