Healing
Sweet, brisk morning autumn air snuck into the stable block, rustling the straw and horses’ fur. The staff were already decorating the grounds for the season, as well as planning out costumes for both themselves and the horses.
Null began checking around the stalls, doing the daily health checks before Moss would come round with the morning feed. Soon enough she got to Kitty. She was stood in her stall, just woken up from her slumber, the chestnut mare’s ears perked up hearing Null approach but something was off. Null entered the stable, gently petting the mare’s nose.
“Hey girl,” she cooed, “What's going on ey?” she asked, looking closer at the mare’s eyes. Kitty however, despite her condition, was busy trying to check for treats in Null’s pockets. “Hey Moss, come over here would you?” Null called out to her employee, “I think her eyes might be infected.” She stated, pointing them out to Moss.
Kitty shook her head, sending some tears off. She looked towards the two staff members as they talked, a bit confused as to why they were blurry, and to why it hurt. That morning had been a pain, she couldn't look out her window, the light caused a sharp pain and the itching she couldn't scratch was grating. Maybe with Null there she could try to get the itching to stop. Null paused as the mare rubbed her head against her jacket, Null pulled away much to Kitty’s annoyance.
“Im going to call the vet, you can continue with your rounds Moss.” Null stated, sending Moss off.

The trailer shook and trembled, it was a usual feeling, but this time things were different. She was sleepy, she just wanted to take a nap but the trailer kept shaking her awake. At least the pain in her eyes was gone, but that wasn't the only thing that was gone. The trailer stopped, and she was led out, where was the sky? Where were the trees? Kitty was confused but the sleepiness was stronger than her concern. At least she was safe in her stall now.
